May 28, 2012 - Well, yes. The song is symptomatic of an imploding society. It's small change, and it certainly doesn't keep me up at night. It's just one example of an entertainment media industry bent at keeping our minds off the implications of a bubble based economy, unsustainable energy, a stagnant political system, climate change, and a slew of other things. I'm not terribly invested in this critique, I did it more as a personal experiment to see how youtube would react, and if others had noticed.
