Feb 8, 2012 - "The audio equivalent of a primary color". "A pheromone for tots". "Although it doesn's sound the least bit like a celeste..."

Feb 28, 2012 - Just had an epiphany. Watching them break the music apart is much like the way scientists at Cern break apart atomic structures

Mar 18, 2012 - This was always a band and a half. They have no competition. Their forte was blending many different musical styles especically La references and gorgeous album art. They were close to being the best. Todays stuff is laughable when compared to these guys.

Apr 7, 2012 - interesting. I thought the whole video would be like "i dont know how we did it. We were drunk and high all the time and then boom we got a hit"

nman48 Says:

Apr 7, 2012 - I never knew Larry Carlton did the chord charts, (3:15) I have the sheet music and it seems to make sense, the guitar harmony does not follow the melody at all and I was surprised to see how he worked all those different chords in there. That is why it is so good, because your ear is expecting one thing and you end up hearing something else. If you play guitar in a Rock context and can play this at speed with all those different chord changes, my hat is off to you.

ddruc40 Says:

May 12, 2012 - am i wrong but did they forget to talk to one of the most important players " the amazing pete Christlieb on tenor sax,WTF ?

cqtaylor Says:

May 14, 2012 - These guys are definitely a studio band, but I'd certainly like to ask them which is the most difficult: 1) Arranging music in the studio over and over, or 2) Performing live and the rigors of touring? Either way, I still love their sound.

wiltner Says:

May 19, 2012 - They skipped over that great tenor sax solo by Pete Christlieb. You can here it in the background but they didn't feature it or talk about him and how it went down on the day. A surprising omission on their part.
