Apr 23, 2011 - If anyone is still curious to know, Neri Ame is the brand... but the actual candy is called Mizu ame it's sorta like the same concept if you compare tootsie pops and lolipops. It's called differently but tootsipops are still lolipops and Neri Ame vs Mizu Ame is the same idea.

Jul 12, 2011 - This one looks ALOT thicker than neri ame :D lol.

JEnokokame Says:

Jul 17, 2011 - although Mizuame is Water candy, it's basically a clear, thick & sticky sweetener that's made from converting starch to sugar. It tastes more similar to corn syrup.Mizuame is often added to Wagashi and as a ingredient in other japanese sweets, but it can also be eaten all by itself, like honey. So in some ways it is similar to honey.
