This occurred when he was a devout catholic the English channel lyric refers to when he he was driving his car on to a ferry at Dover to start a new life with his male lover in France however the ferry pulled off as he was trying to drive into it and he crashed his car into the sea at the time he thought this was preordained by god and message showing him that he should return to his girlfriend.

May 6, 2012 - Frank turner recently rote his entire autobiography or at least he thought he did. I was in the room whilst he was doing it he typed and read aloud what he was typing as he was doing it. however unfortunately at the time frank was tripping quite hard on a combination of magic mushrooms saliva and LSD. consequently what he thought was a type writer was in fact a Persian rug. Frank still does have plans to release his memoirs and im sure i will be vindicated when they are released.
