May 23, 2012 - He may be right... Currently...
TheDuke1724 Says:
May 23, 2012 - It wasn't impossible to film the Bioshock movie under the sea... it was impossible, to film it anywhere else!
GearsofWumbology Says:
May 23, 2012 - ...Why would having an R rating affect how much it would cost to make?
BigImaginationDoll16 Says:
May 24, 2012 - I don't see how in the era in which all so many films do is show off their special effects, a BioShock film would be impossible. I for one would love to see it happen, it would be brilliant.
BoureiNoAkuma Says:
May 24, 2012 - I have got to admit it was a nice easter egg. And kudos to the development team to be able to keep Jacks face hidden, while the rest of his body was exposed. Well thought and well executed.
drakepob Says:
May 24, 2012 - Being R rated and based on a game reduces the audience and reduces the profit that would come from such a movie. It's such a shame as I would love to see it happen
bigbobgotu Says:
May 24, 2012 - it affects how many viewers it will get so they will make less money, if you are making less then you have to spend less
TheBeatifulman Says:
May 24, 2012 - avatar wasn't cheap to make
melodytoinvent Says:
May 24, 2012 - Did you miss the "R rating" part? As TheBeatifulman stated, Avatar wasn't cheap. It was also PG-13, thus a wider, more profitable fan base that would (be able to) pay to see it.
petery007 Says:
May 24, 2012 - it is better not to have it than one that is bad
Tonganpride1000 Says:
May 24, 2012 - WTF????
dirtydogdisco01 Says:
May 25, 2012 - i get it
bass clef Says:
May 25, 2012 - well worrying about profit shouldnt be a problem. if they dont go all "avatar the last airbender" and completely ruin it, im sure it would make millions of dollars
Gigaguy777 Says:
May 25, 2012 - He's saying it would be expensive to do all of those special effects. He's not that stupid, and it sure as hell wouldn't, they'd have to be extremely careful of windows and the tubes that show the outside world to make sure that everything was true to the game which would be time-consuming and expensive.
Gigaguy777 Says:
May 25, 2012 - There was no sex, it's the horror and violence.
MickeyMulligan Says:
May 25, 2012 - He means to create the enviroment in a studio would be too costly for the way it should be done. If he did just use cheap special effects it would not look right and ruin his goal of the movie.
swiftyasaninja Says:
May 25, 2012 - Avatar was pg-13 and had a budget of $237,000,000... If you think they would make a R-rated movie with that kind of budget you are smoking some serious shit.
Yuvilastor Says:
May 27, 2012 - He didn't say it's impossible to do, he said it would take a lot of money. Getting an amount that big would not be child's play.
madsciiscrazy Says:
May 27, 2012 - Not even close to the same thing.
hereticmike Says:
May 27, 2012 - Funny you should mention that because according to the story of Rapture Tenebaum did have a little something something going with Atlas when he was known as Frank Fontaine.
SaucyYum Says:
May 27, 2012 - Make it animated, just like that one movie about the lizard.
bookfiend2009 Says:
May 27, 2012 - I would prefer ANIME if animated
discombobulated4 Says:
May 27, 2012 - god damnit i want to see helljumpers comment
ultimatechucknorris Says:
May 28, 2012 - if i was a rich person that played boishock i would be willing to drop at least $600 million dollars just to see the movie made. it wouldn't matter to me whether it made a profit or no. a bioshock movie would simply be as epic a movie as you can get.

ChaoticDelerium Says:
May 23, 2012 - Brb calling James Cameron.
