The original reason for not drinking soda is that Coke had Cocaine in it. Over time it has become mistaken as the caffeine probably due to new members and such.The coffee is off limits due to our scriptures saying no hot drinks.The reason is that some people make them way to hot and can mess up their mouths.It's just trying to keep you safe.

Jan 20, 2012 - @Icyy this wouldn't fit in the last box so I thought I'd add this here,I think the reason Caffeine got into the mix because we don't believe in partaking are or can be an addiction.Looking at it that way anything can be an addiction to the right person,so it's more watching your own intake and making sure you don't indulge yourself past the point where it's not healthy.
