I do not watch UFC but if you seen a Karateka kick, punch, block , sweep all of these techniques are part of kata and it`s bunkai. Osu

IN MY OPINION as far as i know effective martial arts in street life situation are Filipino Martial arts or Kali/Eskrima and krav maga.. although lots of martial arts have weaknesses like Brazilian jiu jiutsu needs to grapple.
