Kingfordian22 Says:
Jun 12, 2011 - The people in this scene are "the others", a group of people who live on the island. This scene is a flashback to the day Oceanic Flight 815 crashed on the island. The plane broke apart due to electromagnetic activity deep under the island.

Aug 4, 2011 - Wouldn't they have seen metal objects flying against the wall in the direction of the Swan? If the magnetism was enough to bring down a plane from flying altitude, it would have made forks and table lamps fly like bullets.

Aug 4, 2011 - LOL I thought the earthquake was the plane.

Aug 18, 2011 - How did Jack end up in the bamboo forest when Oceanic Flight 815 crashed.
SurvivorXify Says:
Aug 18, 2011 - yea i know right and another ting i noticed is that you never see how the fuselage section crashes
AFriendlyNecromorph Says:
Aug 19, 2011 - I'm sure they wanted to show that, but think of how fake that would look. Probably worse than the infamous CGI polar bears. At least we know that it cartwheeled out of the jungle. Still, I would have liked to have seen it.
AFriendlyNecromorph Says:
Aug 19, 2011 - The plane flew in from the other side of the island, facing the ocean of the fuselage survivors' original beach camp. Jack was most likely sucked out of the plane right before it crashed.
diontje4life Says:
Aug 24, 2011 - thats not the reason because why did ben wanted them on the island and they were gone from the road they should fly from longer time than the electro magnatic system overload.

Rude666 Says:
Sep 29, 2011 - A group of strangers crash on a mysterious and perhaps magical island. A place where miracles happen. They were brought there for a purpose, a reason. They must fullfill their destinys, but the hardest part of all is that they must fight their own internal demons that plagued their previous lives. They must do it together. "Live together, die alone".
bordismiskoo Says:
Dec 12, 2011 - actually the electromagnetism melted the airplane's components causing it to crash..
Rude666 Says:
Dec 14, 2011 - its not even an earthquake, its the beginning of the volcano erupting as seen in the final episode.
815Lucas Says:
Dec 21, 2011 - Thru the show, there were like 100 points of view of whats happening meanwhile.
1NKxCH1LL Says:
Jan 1, 2012 - Actually the plane broke because of extreme depressurization.
bambilover26 Says:
Feb 27, 2012 - i remember seeing this scene for the first time. i was thinking, "wait, what? where are these people? aren't they on the island?" and then it pans out and you see the whole frieking village in the middle of nowhere, on the island!! with the plane breaking in two and the front half falling on one half and back half on the other. so much awe and confusion at the same time. this scene will forever stick in my mind as one of the most influential for me in the whole series.
