Feb 17, 2012 - just found this, I knew the lyrics were about Robbie first time I heard it, it was soooooo obvious. Will probably rattle a few cages here but prefer RWs version Mark Owen is not in the same league vocally. Tho when TT released it hos was the only vocal out of the 4 at the time that suited the song and GB wouldn't have sung it just because..

Mar 21, 2012 - @TheCate7011 Mark sings Shine because it is his song. The 4 guys might share song writing credits now (and the 5 for Progress) but Shine is Mark's lyric and melody. It is perfectly natural for him to sing it, rather than basing it purely on "vocal talent" or because apparently Gary wouldn't want to sing lead on it. It is a brilliant pop song!
