Sep 11, 2011 - I love it when people from the East coast come to Michigan and see a Great Lake for the first time. They'll say something like: "You can't see the other side!" I'm always amazed that people have no idea how big the lakes are. Ever look at a map! Lake Superior is as big as the state of South Carolina in surface area. (For cryin' out loud). I will never move from my beloved Michigan.

Sep 25, 2011 - actually if you look on the DNR's website, Michigan black bear populations have been slowly but steadily increasing across both peninsulas since at least 1990. The most are in the Western Upper Peninsula. Also more sightings are happening in the Southern Lower Peninsula than ever before. The population is doing quite well. The DNR has done pretty well managing the Bear and Elk population. In my opinion, a Moose hunting season should NEVER happen in this state.

Heck, this was the state i rolled in feilds and had a big yard with peacefullness and our lakes r the siz of states, ive been here my whole life (13 yrs) and i dont evr wanna leave

Feb 12, 2012 - I have friends from DK and all 4 of them loved it very much. I also visited DK and both me and my Danish friends agreed that there are many things similar as far as climate and topography. I imagine Sweden wouldn't be too much different in those respects.Hope you make it here!

Mar 30, 2012 - Visited Michigan last summer from Alabama. Saw many of the sights on this video from so many years ago. Still as beautiful today, love the water, natural beauty of the west side of the state and the upper penninsula. Too bad Detroit give the state such a bad name. Will be back !!!

May 8, 2012 - Detroit was murdered, if you ask me, with all those rich suburbs leeching it to death, plus the federally-caused export of US manufacturing jobs over the last few decades.Detroit has had a positive impact on so many things, and I think people tend to forget the music this city has contributed to (blues, jazz, rock, pop, techno, etc.)I visit Detroit from time to time, and while it's not what it once was, if you treat it as a small city, you can find worthwhile things to do.
