May 6, 2012 - Black folks have pioneered most of the music genres popular in the western world. Blues, Jazz, Soul, R&B, Hip Hop. Even Rock n' Roll (Chuck Berry, Fats Domino).

BlindBoyGrunt71 Says:

May 7, 2012 - The chords are: clap...clap,clap....clap...clap,clap,clap, clap...clap,clap... Oh, was that a rhetorical question?

May 23, 2012 - Are you fucking retarded? What does this have to do with that pansy ass loser?

kakerman Says:

May 23, 2012 - Troll, if you would have seen the movie, "It Might Get Loud" you would know what I'm talking about. See all the likes on my comment? It's because Jack fucking White was the one who sent all of us here. Dumbass

MrIbanos Says:

May 23, 2012 - Oh, I've seen that trash. Some people actually like Son House for his music, rather than some shitty pop culture reference. My bad.

daong100 Says:

May 24, 2012 - Did you come out of the womb already knowing all of Son House's music? How do you think people find new music? Jack White, a brilliant musician also, suggested this song publicly and now people found it and Son House's music is getting the attention it deserves. Maybe you're an idiot for being upset that people found new music. You must be one of those people who hates it when anyone else happens to know of, or god-forbid like, the same music as you. Quit bitching, dickhead.

MrIbanos Says:

May 24, 2012 - Naw, I'm glad you're listening to Son House. Jack White is in no way a genius, though. He's a good guitar player that does do some nice shit.It just pissed me off that some pathetic asshole thanked Jack White, rather than, ya know, SON HOUSE.

MrIbanos Says:

May 24, 2012 - I'm more than happy people are listening to Son House. It's just somewhat irksome to me that people catagorize Jack White with Son House. They're not even in the same league, and they never will be.

95railflip Says:

May 24, 2012 - nah I understand mate. Maybe I seemed a bit lairy, sorry about that. But that guy wasn't an asshole. You might not get Jack White, but as such a Blues/country influenced artist who's covered Hank Williams, Blind Willie McTell and (i think) Son House himself, he's largely equated with musicians like this. He's a unique songwriter and worth more respect than he gets from a lot of people. Maybe you just need to get into his stuff a bit more.

tk4audio Says:

May 24, 2012 - I think he was thanking Jack White because if you watch "It Might Get Loud" he references Son House as his favorite song (maybe artist) of all time and regards him with a lot of due respect....

tk4audio Says:

May 24, 2012 - song writer*

00009990099 Says:

May 27, 2012 - i am pretty sure that if it wasnt for jack white mentioning this as his favorite song, there is no way in hell this vid wouldve had 500,000 views, not even 50,000 views.not saying that people dont listen to this, but its pretty underground and obscure to our generation. im glad that he did mention this song though, i like to look up the artists that inspire the musicians that i like. its like putting puzzle pieces together and makes you understand your favorite music more.

vicerOmega Says:

May 27, 2012 - thank you youtube...without you most people wouldnt ever hear Son House
