I'm not speaking for him but lecrae used to want to be like his dad (who was caught up in gangs, drugs, and alcohol) because he thought that's what it meant to be a man. May 16, 2012 - As a young Christian I listened to Christian rap, but there wasn't much substance to it. It was cheesy, and watered down. After years of goin without it I can now say that it has changed, A LOT. Lecrae has so many convicting songs. Unlike most "so called" musicians, Lecrae actually has a message to give that burns within his heart. He really wants people to get born again, he's not tryin to glorify himself.

May 17, 2012 - Wow,the beginning was so me.I thought that I had to clean up my life to live fully for God.I was demon possessed for almost 3 years,and I was really messed up,and rejected God for someone who didn't love me and we were dating,and I was only 11 years old and God helped me get to freedom with a church that is non-denominational and in August they commanded that the demons leave me alone and that proves that when you say "In Jesus' name flee"then demons are terrified,but I wouldn't blame them
