Apr 14, 2012 - I agree that technology is likely to improve, and will help with all of this. It is very hard to predict exactly how though (I still want my flying car!) The important point is that world population looks like it is going to stabilize at a level sustainable with current technology. Improvements will be lagniappe. I suspect that declining population and aging populations will be the bigger problem fairly soon.

May 7, 2012 - This guy pretends to be scientific about this, yet his ideas are so rightwing and ignorant. He ignores that actually educated women have fewer or no children at all, but religion pushes 'reproduction or abstention'. Ordinary people want to have sex for pleasure not reproduction. Disease and accidents are not natural ways of controlling the population! Homesexuality, birth control, and education are the way forward.
