boxingin Says:
Mar 14, 2012 - Oh really. What impact did he have on music for you to compare him to the great Jimi Hendrix? I mean, what did I miss because I don't see any great contributions that he made to music.
guitarldh19 Says:
Mar 18, 2012 - Check out an amazing unbelievable great guitarist Luke Hamrock he is incredible!

Mar 20, 2012 - Stevie seems to be enjoying that Marshall he's using here with the added sustain. His tone is just a little dirtier than usual, and it sounds GREAT.Miss you Stevie, so bad.
castlerider99 Says:
Mar 20, 2012 - Stevie didn't even begin to consider himself as great as Jimi. But he emulated him everywhere. He played that side of the stage cause Jimi did. He added a left hand wang bar to have the same effect Jimi did with the guitar upside down. I talked with Stevie about Jimi often. I gave him the left hand neck's on his red Strat. We both idolized him.How Stevie impacted strong is bring Blues to a Rock Format like NO ONE else could. I'm sure Jimi would be very proud of him. Miss ya Stevie.
boxingin Says:
Mar 23, 2012 - But how did he bring in all these new things when all he did was play other people's songs and licks? Name me one great composition that he wrote on his own because I can't find none. Also please tell me who did he inspired out with his musicality?
austinw17 Says:
Mar 23, 2012 - you're an idiot.
castlerider99 Says:
Mar 24, 2012 - Stevie had a great talent for writing really classic sounding Rockers and blues shuffles that no one else has come close to for partyin' and dancin'. He wrote "Love Struck Baby", he wrote "Honey Bee". He wrote "Empty Arms", which has a great guitar part that so many guitar players like John Mayer and others have tried to copy and emulate. "Rude Mood" Was a song he was nominated for a Grammy for, he wrote that.
castlerider99 Says:
Mar 24, 2012 - Any real guitar player can take one look at Stevie and can tell that this guy is totally all about his guitar. He's inspired players all over the world, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Doyle Bramhall, etc., Even older players like Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton have been inspired by this younger bonafide bluesman.
castlerider99 Says:
Mar 24, 2012 - When he was invited to play at this party in New York before he got famous, he was only supposed to play for 45 minutes. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards showed up, heard someone playing Howlin' Wolf songs, and loved his playing so much They wouldn't let him stop playing for several hours. That's how he got the gig at Montreaux in 83 where David Bowie heard him.
castlerider99 Says:
Mar 24, 2012 - Rosy, that's way cool... My bro Stevie, a saint!! It sure makes a lot of sense. When he died, he didn't have a bad spot on him anywhere. He never hurt anyone, he was honest as can be. Didn't hardly lie, and surely never stole. The Dead had a real cool song called Saint Stephen.
boxingin Says:
Mar 24, 2012 - Stop dancing around the subject and please write down how many great composition/songs did he write on his own. That's all. And as far as influencing people goes Jimi Hendrix influenced just about everyone from Carlos Santana to Miles Davis.
castlerider99 Says:
Mar 26, 2012 - The truth is, you're just another critic who can't stand another great cat's success. You're one of many, but Stevie was one in a million, no matter what ya say or think. I listed just a few of several great songs HE WROTE AND COMPOSED HIMSELF, but that wasn't enough for you. Now I'm done. Stevie ran circles around Santana when it came to playing the blues.
boxingin Says:
Mar 28, 2012 - Yeah, when the guy wasn't emulating Muddy Waters then it was Albert King or Jimi Hendrix or BB King or Buddy Guy Or Larry Davis ect ect.. He was a copycat who never produced a decent song on his own except emulate Black Blues men.
boxingin Says:
Mar 28, 2012 - None of those songs you mentioned had an impact on music be it blues or whatever. Again. Pease name me one great song that he wrote on his own? The key word is Great and not just A Song. As far as Santana goes you don't even want to compare the two. Santana brought in his own style to music while SRV just imitated blues licks from his blues idols. And John Mayer is a joke not only as a guitar player but as a so call blues man. I bet you know nothing about the blues just like SRV aka CopyCat.
castlerider99 Says:
Mar 28, 2012 - But each of these black men loved Stevie and treated him as one of them. You're just another white boy who can't stand to see someone like Stevie make it like he did. There were plenty like you when he was around too, and he went right past you then too, Ha ha.. . Since you have such a hard time accepting him watch "SRV-Collins shuffle" when he got booed at Montreaux by people like you.. Get your jollies. He came back a year later and kicked ass.
boxingin Says:
Mar 28, 2012 - You jackass don't you know that when the Great and True Master of the blues originator the one and only Albert King met your copycat idol he almost broke his fucking neck! Why? This is why. Because SRV aka copycat copied his solo Born Under a Bad Sign; note for note and used it as his own in Let's Dance-when he played for David Bowie. Man, SRV was just Elvis all over again. And since when have black people admired us white musicians? Hell, whites have stolen their music all along, you clown!
castlerider99 Says:
Mar 28, 2012 - Boy, your head's sure up your ass. Stevie was my friend before he's ever famous, no idol- and he was just doing what he loved to do. As matter of fact, he caught hell all over from squirrels like you cuz yeah, he played Albert's licks unapologetically. Man, I was THERE when he opened for Albert at Antone's around '79 first time they met, and he called to jam afterward and pointin to im told the crowd -"That's my son" He loved Stevie. So cool.. Shut the haters up! ...You're the clown.

Mar 30, 2012 - u are right but on the dvd since i have it also it says that its called may i have a talk with you so i dont blame him for putting that title like that
BigTess1000 Says:
Mar 31, 2012 - It doesn't matter who he (copied) or(borrowed) from the fact is he was the very damn best at what he done!!
BATENKILL Says:
Apr 16, 2012 - 1 Guitar 1 set of drums 1 bass 1 keyboard........
csi2448 Says:
May 1, 2012 - Thank goodness for people like you! Albert didn't have a problem with Stevie playing just like him. If anyone knows anything about Albert King, he doesn't like any other guitar player other than himself! So seeing that Albert was Stevie's godfather...it says EVERYTHING about Stevie and Albert's relationship!!
