May 25, 2012 - Not only do they send robotic probes to mars, they have the probes shoot LASER BEAMS at stuff. I love NASA.

May 25, 2012 - It is too depressing to think about. Seriously, this place could be a fucking paradise if we all worked together.

KLARachelle Says:

May 25, 2012 - Either we do learn, or we die.

konjinni Says:

May 26, 2012 - Radioisotope power source. It will work with this source of about two years. As far as I know.

May 27, 2012 - i'm reminded, for some reason, of a rube goldberg machine during the landing. albeit an awesome one.

vinmaster25 Says:

May 27, 2012 - So uncivilized. Fucken moron maybe when we don't go to wars and listen to the corporations and multi billionaires we will be. We spend more than billions on are military advancing new bomber planes instead of researching stem cell research or other human needs. After the economic collapse a resourced based economy might get us there and then allow us to carry on to other planets after we are truly technologically advanced.

ragewarriorz Says:

May 27, 2012 - now thats a ATV , please

hazzard77 Says:

May 27, 2012 - americans are getting desparate in their search for more oil.

Linkage1992 Says:

May 27, 2012 - You're a typical pessimist, only focusing on the negatives instead of the great things we've achieved.

vinmaster25 Says:

May 27, 2012 - But think about it if we changed those great things into things that would benefit are health and society, then we move on into stuff like this. And no im not. Im also saying were uncivilized flees the Earth would be proud to get rid of!

vinmaster25 Says:

May 27, 2012 - lol yep they sure are

Linkage1992 Says:

May 28, 2012 - I agree it's unfortunate that most of our focus is on advancing military technology, but you have to understand that there have been so many benefits for society that have resulted from this research which otherwise would never have seen the light of day, with the internet being an obvious example. It has allowed us to spread education to areas which would otherwise have remained stagnant. I agree there's a long way to go but we're getting there.

Linkage1992 Says:

May 28, 2012 - I also suggest you read up on some of the other benefits that NASA and other such programs have brought to the world, in fields such as medicine and environment, of which there are too many to list here. Also have a look at Planetary Resources and some of the works of Peter Diamandis, who outlines how space exploration will ultimately lead to better lives for everyone on Earth and solve a lot of the problems that you've outlined. The two go hand in hand.

vinmaster25 Says:

May 28, 2012 - true true true it would and I agree but were not getting there fast enough. (Due to what the kings of the world are deciding) If the people stood up for each other , which many people are as we speak we have a much better chance. I do look at the only bad things but those bad things are what is most important.
