May 18, 2012 - most guys try carefully drilling a hole in it, then using an EZ out tool to extract it

kingfrankful Says:

May 19, 2012 - THNX SCOTTY, IM GONNA GIVE IT A SHOT. LOOKS LIKE THE INTAKE MANIFOLD GOT TO COME OFF IN ORDER TO DRILL. ANY WAY ROUND THAT?

scottykilmer Says:

May 19, 2012 - NO

xcheapcityhalox Says:

May 20, 2012 - I have an 03 Ford Taurus that has check engine light on but not flashing. Did a code read and it said Cylinder 3 misfire, it has not changed from that. I have replaced all the spark plugs as well as the spark plug wires. Would replacing the fuel filter/injectors be my next step?

xcheapcityhalox Says:

May 20, 2012 - also have replaced the battery as well as the terminals, forgot to mention that too. lol

scottykilmer Says:

May 20, 2012 - yes, change number 3 and pray it's that, and not a more complex problem.

May 22, 2012 - Scotty - Question for ya...As I had just gotten the P0300 code this morning after several days of engine hestitations while driving AFTER I got the car filled up with gas...do you think it is possible of bad fuel? If so, how can I fix it? Just drive it til near 1/4 tank left, and then fill it with premium gas up??

scottykilmer Says:

May 22, 2012 - It could be IF it happenned within a block of leaving the gas station. if so, add some fuel injection cleaner into the tank, then refill it when you're low and put another cleaner can in with the new gas

35RK35 Says:

May 22, 2012 - Ah...the hestitations begun the day after the fill-up of gas....I was hoping it is the gas cuz I didn't have any hestitations at all since up until I fill-up the gas several days ago...wondering of what should I check for...it is 1996 caprice classic 4.3L car (if you were going to ask of what kind of car)

scottykilmer Says:

May 22, 2012 - not really gas then, it mixes fast and you'll know driving within a couple blocks of the station. I would check for vacuum leaks on that engine and would try my video "how to clean fuel injectors on your car" as they often go bad on GMs

copieB Says:

May 22, 2012 - Just a quick 1I have a vauxhall corsa 1999it has a misfire on cylinder 1I have replaced the spark plugs and coil packBut still it persistsIt only happens when its warm though or driven a few milesAny advise would be much appreciatedRegardsSteve

scottykilmer Says:

May 22, 2012 - misfires can be many things, so first swap injector one with another, and if the miss moves, replace the injector. Pray it's that easy, cause bad cylinders that are worn inside can cause that as can blowing head gaskets. good luck

May 22, 2012 - Scotty I have an 02 Toyota Highlander V6 giving random 0301, 0302, and 0

Czangrlli422 Says:

May 22, 2012 - Scot have 02 Toy highlander v6 with rough idle and 0301, 0302 and 0174 code. Removed and cleaned the MAF and changed air filter and cleared the codes but they returned. Coil packs and spark plugs are only a year old. What else should I look for?

scottykilmer Says:

May 23, 2012 - often bad ignition coils on those cylinders, check that first.

gmcarfreak Says:

May 23, 2012 - Scotty , 2006 chevy silverado 4.3 v6 . truck has 62,000 miles on it, it needed a tune up. i seafoamed it, then put ac delco iriduim plugs, wires cap an rotor. firing order is right, now when i fired it up it started backfiring , an popping. an the P0300 code came on with the light flashing. what did i do wrong, burning alot of fuel to , wet spark plugs

scottykilmer Says:

May 24, 2012 - I have seen seafoam damage components in those things before. Assuming your new parts are good, and that's just a guess, they make lots of crap these days, I would assume using the seafoam damaged something electronic from a sensor to an injector. We mechanics would scan your truck with a high level scan computer to see what was acting up.

maximeDpetrov Says:

May 24, 2012 - I think that when talking about the fuel system, you forgot to mention that the fuel pressure regulator could also cause low fuel pressure. All the cars I've had that had a fuel pressure regulator (that I could see) were vacuum powered, so I would also suggest making sure that the vacuum lines on the FPR aren't leaking.

gmcarfreak Says:

May 24, 2012 - ok, what should i do with this p0300 code, could the ignition timing be off

scottykilmer Says:

May 25, 2012 - yes, and about a 100 other things can cause that nasty code.

gmcarfreak Says:

May 25, 2012 - Scotty on the 2006 silverado 4.3 . could a cracked ignition cap cause this P0300 code, i got all the parts from autozone the parts are ac delco

scottykilmer Says:

May 26, 2012 - of course it could, pray it's that easy

whatproblems Says:

May 27, 2012 - Wow. A 2 year old video and the uploader still comments and helps people? THATS AMAZING! Many thanks Scotty. I've got 3 cars all throwing codes like it's a sport! Using your video to diagnose problems and see what's wrong! My 96' Civic (100% stock) Gave me the heated MAF code, then cylinders 1 3 and 4 misfiring. The random misfire code and also P1300 which the Civic forums are telling me multiple cylinder misfire. Car runs strong though and gas mileage hasn't been affected at all. Going to che

scottykilmer Says:

May 27, 2012 - on those, a bad distributor often causes that or the maf sensor itself. HAve the maf data analyzed with a high level scan computer first, cause the dist is pretty much guesswork unless it dies entirely.

SeRee05 Says:

May 27, 2012 - JUST GOT THIS CODE TOO IM GOING TO TRY EVERYTHING YOU SAID IN THE VIDEO HOPE THIS WORKS:)THANKS SCOTTY!
