The Tourist - 47:53OK Computer is the third studio album by English alternative rock band Radiohead, released on 16 June 1997. Radiohead recorded the album in rural Oxfordshire and Bath, during 1996 and early 1997, with producer Nigel Godrich. Although most of the music is dominated by guitar, OK Computer's expansive sound and wide range of influences set it apart from many of the Britpop and alternative rock bands popular at the time, and laid the groundwork for Radiohead's later, more experimental work. While Radiohead do not consider OK Computer to be a concept album, its lyrics and visual artwork emphasise common themes such as consumerism, social disconnection, political stagnation, and modern malaise.OK Computer reached number-one on the UK Albums Chart and marked Radiohead's highest entry into the American market at the time, debuting at number 21 on the Billboard 200. The album expanded the band's worldwide popularity, and has been certified triple platinum in the UK and Canada, double platinum in the US and platinum in Australia. OK Computer received considerable acclaim at the time of its release, and is frequently cited by critics as one of the greatest albums ever recorded.

May 25, 2012 - This is one of the greatest albums of the 90s. Though I'd say for me personally the best album of the 90s would be either MBV's Loveless or What's The Story Morning Glory? by Oasis.

May 25, 2012 - I remember buying this album back in 97 not having a clue who Radiohead were. I didn't even really like "rock" music. Was only into techno/house/trance. Just bought it because the No Surprises single hooked me. Got it home, put it in the cd player... I'd go as far as to say my life changed from that point onwards. It opened my ears to whole new world of music. What an album.

May 25, 2012 - Yep. One of the greatest moments in musical history as far as I'm concerned. Radiohead have so many of those incredible little climax moments in so many of their songs. Nice Dream, Optimistic and All I Need immediately spring to mind.

May 27, 2012 - What a heartbreaking, beautiful fully developed piece of of art this is....a treasure that holds up after 15 years with the same urgency and paranoia it meant to imbue...only thing more amazing is they made two other recordings equally perfect...and if you know your history, they turned down the opportunity to become as big as U2 or REM, didn't want it..respect and thank you guys..bloody brilliant

May 28, 2012 - Radiohead is one of the best bands ever. They always move forward and surprise people. Their music reflects this world. Some of the sounds they create do not surprise me in that it's just five men seeking Truth in themselves, their art, and their life. If you seek Truth in your life go to Google, search The Truth Contest, click the first result, begin reading The Present
