Title: Human Weapon Pradal Serey - Jason Final Fight

Added: Jan 18, 2008

Author: CameronNightingale

Duration: 5:48

Description:
This really doesn't seem like the guy's being serious at all, imo. He kept on throwing the same things at Jason. He looked pretty chill throughout... I'm going to try to upload some Fight Quest fights so I can show you fellas the difference.PS - As always, show your support by subscribing to my channel!

Feb 9, 2011 - That looked like a very light sparring sessions for the Cambodian, though I think he got pissed when he was tripped to the canvas (a bit disrespectful of Jason considering how light this guy was going on him). The Cambodian is a legend in the sport with hundreds of fights could have demolished him.

Jun 28, 2011 - That sweep was actually perfect in Karate and TKD and added to kickboxing by Karate, the core founder of kickboxing :D Mauy Thai and such ripped it off as usual lol Jason Chambers won round 1-3, such favoritism. And mid body roundhouses from a circular stance are overated, damn judges wanted the crowd to be pleased lol Street fight JC would have slaughtered him all the times that he made the guy go down.

Jul 3, 2011 - @ichibang15549 I think you're both wrong and somewhat right really. A more realistic saying would be that in the part of Asia where Thailand and Cambodia are now, a form of unarmed combat evolved meant for competition and entertainment rather than war.I mean, matches a century or two ago will have been nothing like the sports/professional fights we know today. It would've been mostly two peasants trying to bludgeon eachother to death with a lot of testosterone and little skill. ;-)

Blahb27 Says:

Jul 3, 2011 - What you're saying is only true for the united states. There 'kickboxing' means full contact karate. The term kickboxing however is used mostly for the European/Japanese form of kickboxing. Very different sport.Midkicks are great in the muai thai system (this vid), because even if they're blocked, they score points. In most other forms of kickboxing, blocked hits do not score points. Still, if the block is out of the way, midkicks rock. It'll suck the air right out of your opponent.

wiggalama Says:

Jul 5, 2011 - Kickboxing represents the universals of attacking from a circular stance in terms of the variety of limb attacks with gross motor skill mainly and generalized sport rules. Karate is the basis for kickboxing, MT mainly contributed conditioning techniques and a sport avenue abroad. Mid kicks in MT are not so much damaging as they are scored highly cause fight fans love them in terms of the uneducated masses in Southeast Asia :D And blocking a kick takes damage; arm vs. leg, leg win :D

wiggalama Says:

Jul 5, 2011 - I should BITCH slap you :D BOKATOR IS THE ORIGIN OF MAUY BORAN, WHICH WENT BACK TO REGULAR PUNCHING WITH THE FRENCH BRINGING IN BOXING ARENAS AND THUS BECAME MAUY THAI; THAI BOXING. :P Bokator has its origins in native masters all over Southeast Asia, wars, and Kung Fu from southern China :D Any well trained Karateka/TKD, Mauy Thai, Bokator, Savate, etc... would allialate it, why do you think it fails even in regular kickboxing abroad?! CAUSE DOUBLE LIMB STRIKES ARE STUPID USUALLY!

Blahb27 Says:

Jul 5, 2011 - Have you ever tried it on? Midkicks are a great way of wearing people down at range. Pulling the block away first is harder than with low or highkicks, but it's still a great tactic.Again, what you say about karate is only true for the US. Dutch kickboxing for instance is totally different. It's basic foundation here is boxing, expanded with roundhouse-style kicks, and it's very combination oriented. Kicks from karate are extremely rare and mostly uneffective.

Blahb27 Says:

Jul 5, 2011 - Adding to that: scoring is not relevant either. Only muai thai rules awards points for blocked kicks. Most kickboxing rulesets, such as K1 rules, do not award points for blocked strikes. For a fine example of the difference between kickboxing and muai thai, and how a very good thai can lose devastatingly, I'd recommend watching Andy Souwer vs Yodsaenklai Fairtex.Souwer is a great example of Dutch kickboxing style. He beat Yod on blocking, lowkick counters and better boxing.

shmuckling Says:

Jul 6, 2011 - Uh, I have to assume they aren't allowed to punch, because they could have, but they didn't......

wiggalama Says:

Jul 6, 2011 - Scoring is relevant for prize fighters as Southeast Asia is about poverty, and most of the high level fighters and low level fighters even engage in pleasing the judges. More fights go to decision that KO or TKO. And its not points but consideration of where the fights going that credit is given for damaging an opponent. Aside from check kicks where they take more damage than you and can even break the shin, blocking a kick makes you take damage. My front roundhouse fractured a forearm.

Blahb27 Says:

Jul 6, 2011 - Again, that only applies to muai thai rules. All other rulesystems don't awards points for abstract things like 'damage'.By the way, you can only break your forearm if you block incorrectly. Both arm bones need to be aligned properly.

wiggalama Says:

Jul 6, 2011 - Its all over southeast asia, or have you forgotten that Cambodai is nowhere near as rich or powerful as Thailand? Bokator is what Cambodia sent out, Pradal Serey was merely another path Bokator went; an inferior one at that :D The generalized rules are usually the same, and if there are limits its more on Pradal Serey than MT. The judges are looking for control and pace, which damage does count as well as position. You ever forearm block a good kick from linear or circular and arm lose.

apichathai Says:

FinalFan0 Says:

Nov 8, 2011 - The fighters in this show never went full go on either Bill Duff or Jason. So I wouldn't look at the matches in this show as real competitive fights. They're more like training matches.

oac294 Says:
