Dec 28, 2011 - I've read and heard many times that water only makes the WP's reaction worse, is this true?
TeunTheGod Says:
Dec 31, 2011 - It is held underwater because it doesn't have a reaction with water
Jormungandr69 Says:
Dec 31, 2011 - But after It has reacted, does water make the reaction bigger, or it just doesn't affect it?
JustElijah Says:
Feb 13, 2012 - After seeing this, knowing the US (and Israeli) military is using this on other human beings, makes it probably the most horrendously evil thing I've ever heard of. There isn't a jail sentence long enough to compensate for that. Hitler had mad hatred for jews, but even he didn't burn them alive.

Apr 13, 2012 - The US and Izraeli use of white phosphorus is nothing exceptional. WP is being used in warfare since the First World War. It was also used in WW2, on both sides. Incendiary bombs were also used by both sides against civilians (against large cities), some with WP.It was used widely in Korea and Vietnam. Also by the Russians in Chechnya and by Saddam Hussein against Iran and the Kurds...Since the 1980s, the use of incendiary weapons *against civilians* is banned by an international convention.
JustElijah Says:
Apr 13, 2012 - I think you're talking about Napalm, because they definitely ewren't using this in the 1st world war. Either way, it's nothing short of exceptional. Hitler's been demonised and is a "household name" for being so, but US has done easily worse to millions of asians and people are behaving like it's "nothing exceptional". For nobody to sympathize with them, you must be a hater or be stupid. History has been repeating itself since Biblical times, but the same few people see it coming.
marvincz3 Says:
Apr 13, 2012 - Napalm was invented in the '40s, but WP was really used in the First World War. Even in the form of hand grenades. The use of WP by US is nothing exceptional in the sence that it is no exception among the nations and wars of recent past.I sympathise with all war victims, regardless of side. Demonising USA or Izrael over the use of WP doesn't help anyone, though. It's not much worse than being torn by explosives or burned by regular fire, which there's plenty of in any war.
JustElijah Says:
Apr 13, 2012 - Yh I get that, but there's no wars; just invasions, followed by heartless killing. But hey, that's what you have a national defense for. Unless they all get merked and civilians are forced to bear arms against the meddling enemy.
marvincz3 Says:
Apr 13, 2012 - That's an entirely different discussion and I won't go there. I made my point about WP and that's it.
JustElijah Says:
Apr 13, 2012 - As did I, so fall back.

May 15, 2012 - Man, all the pranks that could be done with this stuff that would be hilarious in a sitcom. Of course, in real life, most of it would turn out pretty horrific. A quick Google search tells me why they would never allow us to play with this stuff in any Chemistry class.

Oct 25, 2011 - It is yellow because it is impure. It contains some P4O10 and red phosphorous. White phosphorous, pure white phosphorous, is completely white.
