May 3, 2011 - a telebass none the less.
thibo62 Says:
May 3, 2011 - I still think it is a PBass. Shouldn't a "Telebass" need a singlecut body to be considered a "telecaster bass"? But appart from that,I think the other difference between the Fender Telebass and the PBass is the pickup. A Telebass has a humbucker type very close to the neck, while the Pbass has the original pickup configuration (in this case the non-splitted one). But I don't pretend to be a Fender Encyclopedia, you might be right on that one, but I need to be convinced! ;-) Cheers
tittidee Says:
May 4, 2011 - Yes it is a Pbass, as the 'telebass' was the first precision bass. Or first electric bass if im not mistaken.I havent seen a bass that has the singlecut body of the telecaster guitar. The bass Marcus Miller is playing in the video has the moosehead and the oldschool singlecoil pickup, hence telebass :DYou may be right about it being a reissue tho.Regards.
gad905 Says:
Jun 14, 2011 - there does exist a singlecut tele-shape bass, not coincidentally made by leo fender's company, G & L; it's called the ASAT. And yes, there have been telebass reissues, so it may well be one, rather than an ancient original.
