In 2 decades+ he has released no great albums, and isn't doing anything very creative or original - he is just releasing same old tired lame funk rubbish. The general public quite rightly couldn't give a damm these days what he releases, only some die hard fans care. As a recording artist these days he is utterly insignificant, as a live act he is still good.
