May 2, 2012 - Absolutely not. lol 20/20 vision as far as I know. Jeff Healey was blind. That might be who you're thinking of. He was a killer guitarist from Canada. He and his band were the house band in the movie "Roadhouse" with Patrick Swayze. Jeff passed away a couple of years ago of lung cancer at the age of 41. Come to think of it, Swayze passed away of cancer also. Cancer sucks. :-(

May 2, 2012 - With you there, lost my Mum to cancer in December. Did some digging, from the internet (never any inaccuracies on the internet, ahem): Guitarist Johnny Hiland was born with nystagmus, a medical condition causing involuntary eye movement and rendering him legally blind.

May 2, 2012 - I had no clue about his eye condition! When I saw him play he seemed to be looking at band members and connecting with them and nodding and so forth. I guess he can see shapes and what not. I'd be afraid of falling off stage if I was legally blind. I can see perfectly well and I've almost fell a few times years ago. lol Alcohol related of course in my "crazy years". Sorry about your mom. :-( I lost my mom to cancer last year also. Lymphoma. I know how you feel. It sucks for all involved. Peace
