Dec 4, 2011 - What level must you be to attend id love to have this experience im 15 but not on pointe yet

pacificnwballet Says:

Dec 7, 2011 - The expectation at our summer program is to be taking pointe class in Level IV (ages 12-13) and above. Talk to your teacher about when it's appropriate for you to begin pointe class!

Dec 11, 2011 - Hi! first of all these dancers are just plain drop dead gorgeuos. Love them! So my question is.. I´m 17 and I´ve been doing ballett since 3 and a half years now, i´ve been on pointe since 2. Since about 2 years i have been training 5-6 times a week about 1 and a half to 3 hours a day... I know this is silly and impossible... but is there a chance that I can still become a dancer? And about this program, can you still attend when you are 18? Are they very picky about tecnique and so on? thanks

Jan 24, 2012 - Wow! This looks very impressive. I really wish I could afford this. Congrats to all who can

megannekait Says:

Jan 27, 2012 - I'm 13, I have a strong passion for dance and I train really hard for about 15-17 hours a week. My pointe-work is pretty good but i don't have very high-arched feet or much flexibility, do I have a shot at getting in?

pacificnwballet Says:

Feb 1, 2012 - If you are serious about your training (whether or not you want to be a professional), auditioning is a valuable skill to have, so we encourage everyone to do it! Talk to your teacher, they will have advice on how to improve your flexibility.

Feb 5, 2012 - hi

Oriolerc Says:

Feb 5, 2012 - I would love to go to something like this but i would get home sick easily.

IxBitexRawr Says:

Feb 8, 2012 - I would love to go to a summer intensive like this. I'm 13 and have been dancing almost every type of dance imaginable since I was three but I only got my pointe shoes in summer 2011. I'm worried about attending a thing like this because I'm afraid that I won't be able to do what everyone else can do en pointe, with me having just started. Is that silly or would that be something they could work around?

pacificnwballet Says:

Feb 10, 2012 - With the proper training, 12 years old is the proper age to start your pointe work--you would not be behind!

jblock654 Says:

Feb 25, 2012 - I'm 13 and I've been doing ballet for 11 years and point for 2 1/2 years. What level do you think I'd be ready for?

likeballet1997 Says:

Mar 30, 2012 - i'm 14 and i just started at age of 13 .. :( it looks so great but i think i never would be able to do that..

mindyschocolate Says:

Mar 31, 2012 - Is there a video of your open program? I'm a very later beginner (32), and while I'm taking classes up in Oak Harbor, the adult class I'm in is more of the get-in-shape-screw-the-technique-and-dance-in-sweats kind. I want a class that places emphasis on technique. I'm not trying to go pro here (I'm realist, lol!), but I want to dance and be proud of what I do. I want to give ballet the respect it deserves. I googled your open program online, and I would dearly love to see how your class is!

Mar 31, 2012 - I want to go there but I am too young

crneuffer Says:

Apr 5, 2012 - I am 32 as well and just started ballet. I too wanted to learn proper ballet and not a dancercise kind of thing so I asked around at dance studios and found a studio and a talented teenager willing to teach me. I have only been in class for 1 month so far but I am loving it! Good luck and I hope you find a good teacher who will take you seriously.

wolfpup5000 Says:

Apr 6, 2012 - I really wish I could go there. I'm to young but I hope I can go there when I'm older. If it's doing well and it's still there

MsLynch12 Says:

May 4, 2012 - My cousin works there!

2310Peck Says:

May 5, 2012 - I'm a student here.:)
