Mar 8, 2012 - It's much more efficient to hold a small firearm such as a sidearm with your non-dominant arm bent, having your elbow bent to the ground, with the dominant hand straight out. Holding a sidearm with both arms horizontally pointed at the target is tiring and doesn't offer much resistance to recoil, and is also less accurate.
