It looks like a young animal - it was probably "testing" you and your toying with it, baiting it with your foot will likely lead to some future incident where the animal will BITE another human. May 28, 2012 - Hes not playing.... coyotes are known for being completely fearless and attacking anything even horses and asses. In my area theres 3 large packs and we are told not to follow them because they have learned to send one out to try and "play" with dogs and pets to lure them then run with them into the rest of the pack waiting in ambush. The packs here have up to 30 individuals and, as much as coyotes are small, that many is no match for a human.... just FYI

He bottle-fed the whole litter of 3 but only one lived to maturity. It was one of the coolest dogs ever, loved my cousin and would protect him from anything and everything - I have no doubt it would stand up to a grizzly-bear threatening him.So... Wild predator or domesticated pet?
