Her first album, which was raw and personal was all written by herself, but the new stuff, which is still good, is written by others, probably to acheive the fame she has achieved today. So she really has changed... Maybe not as a person, but as an artist.

But now that she is as famous as she is, she can collaborate with other songwriters on songs who contribute to her own song-writing. I agree that her image has changed probably due to her management and record label wanting to portray her in a particular way (eg: pop music), however she does write all of her own songs (with the help of others), as well as songs for many other artists.
