Sep 5, 2011 - actually NOTHING has been explained ! Empty claims for a possiblefuture - nothing else. So I guess it is just a mean to justify higher electricity prices. Networks have been constantly renewed and enlarged since ever- just this meanwhile worldwide initiative is a new way of justifying better, i.e. higher prices.

Oct 27, 2011 - i love how they managed to explain smart grids with out actually telling you anything about it. Other than just saying that its good

Nov 6, 2011 - the best explanation I had in this page. Sure everyone says it's good, but there are also critics for every publicly-approved idea. Where are they? How does it even work?
seanfonn Says:
Nov 27, 2011 - the whole point is to lower prices

Nov 27, 2011 - they tell you exactly what it is and how it would be made...

Dec 4, 2011 - Fact: Wireless smart meters emit a class 2b carcinogen every 6 to 20 seconds throughout your home 24/7.
StormTeamSpecOp Says:
Dec 27, 2011 - no one cares what you do. All they need to know is how much energy you use to adapt their production (use less fuel if you use less energy). Truth is smart meters will really be useful when you will produce your own energy : the plant will immediatly know it and reduce the production so you can actually produce more energy yourselve, and maybe share the extra with your neighbours (which is currently not possible on a global scale).

Jan 7, 2012 - This is saying absolutely nothing of value. All we know now is the top-down explanation that a 'smart grid' is some structure for distributing electricity, and that it is supposed to be an improvement upon current networks. What IS such a grid exactly? How does it work? I want to hear about cables, transformers, energy storage, control mechanisms and graph theory - no such huff-puff obviousness like 'pilot projects need to be successful so that the consumer buys in'!

Apr 9, 2012 - The term Smart Grid refers to a global, all-encompassing communications system infrastructure being surreptitiously and secretly installed right now on the electrical power transmission and distribution grid.

Apr 21, 2012 - I'm tired of the carbon emissions propaganda. I'm tired of the Climate Change propaganda. They think if they make a sharp video with slick marketing techniques people will be fooled. Not me.
