Mar 15, 2012 - to jeshualivingword you are very mislead my friend. how is a beat ungodly i have read the bible many time and nowhere in it does it say anything about rap or a unholy beats. why? because it crazy! now if you do find a scripture on it then email me @ adam11209@gmail.com otherwise your wrong. that simple. when you make a statment about somthing like this back it up with scripture. see your like so many (with no disrespect intended) ignorent christians who think like you listen to lecrae he is deep
adam11209 Says:
Mar 15, 2012 - i am so sorry you are so mislead. how can a beat be ungodly? are you actually accusing lecrae of being ungodly? he is one of the most godly people i know. and to the comment christan rap is just an esxuse for religious familys kids to listen to rap, that is son not true. i speak from experience. if a kid wants to listen to "bad" music like rap he could listen to litl wayne on his ipod with headphones on, without his parents knowing. so that arguement doesnt hold up
adam11209 Says:
Mar 15, 2012 - i can honestly say that lecrae is like a preacher to me, keeping from temptation, and become a better person. plus i enjoy the krunk beat. i dont care if rap isnt your genre but to say its sinful, thats just foolish. but like lecrae says, im praying fo ya
adam11209 Says:
Mar 15, 2012 - um klove is 89.7
debcog74 Says:
Mar 22, 2012 - Everyone has different experiences with music. There is no Scripture to support your claim that music in and of itself is sinful. Music is a powerful tool. Sometimes a song can take us back to a place and time that we don't want to remember now that we are in Christ. This though is a heart issue, not a musical issue. If you get a chance, read Psalm 150. Hip hop is simply one platform upon which to uplift the name of Jesus.

Apr 4, 2012 - You look in the eyes of Eminem and see bondage and sadness... Do that look at his eyes. Now, look at Lecrae's eyes... That man is ALIVE!!! He looks directly at the camera. He sounds and looks HAPPY, peaceful. Not at all like a typical rap artist. Lacrae's a new type. And I'm not a rap fan. :)
JeshuaLivingWord Says:
Apr 10, 2012 - The Spirit convicts of sin. Look at 1 Samuel 16 for David. Look at Elisha in 2 Kings 3:15. Ephesians 5:19. I have read psalms 150, and no where are drums mentioned. I dont know where you are spiritually, but if I played a lil wayne song except took out the lyrics, and replaced them with "jesus loves you" repeated...would you be able to tell if something was wrong? Even hendrix, j. paige, and other rockstars who are not christian, know about the power of music..w/o lyrics.
JeshuaLivingWord Says:
Apr 10, 2012 - I used to play guitar, especially John Mayer, Zepplin, etc. songs. But I didnt sing. And again, I dont know where you are spiritually, but I, just like a few other people I know, can obviously tell that you dont even need lyrics to make the mind numb...and open to invasion/influence. Honesely, I have alotof info. Just ask. But if you are Christian, that music grieves the Spirit, and the Spirit would convict you to the point where you know something isnt right with it...

Apr 23, 2012 - What's wrong with earrings? Loving God doesn't mean you need to not wear earrings unless Holy Spirit tells you not to (which is always done out of love). Being passionately in love with God and being excited about Him doesn't mean we need to be legalistic (it certainly doesn't mean we need to be lukewarm either). Look, I don't know Lecrae and I haven't heard his music, but if you feel a singer isn't making Jesus music, then find some Jesus music, don't decide to instead listen to satan music.
MiniGiraffex Says:
May 1, 2012 - This took forever for me to respond. But yes I do base my beliefs around strict doctine. I am a seminary student going on my third year. And I've listened to Lecrae for a long time. The guy has been devoted to the fellowship and furthering of God's kingdom. I've been to several of his concerts and had a chance to speak with him first hand. The dude is really passionate about his ministry. And the Bible tells us that we will recognize a tree by the fruit it bears.
MiniGiraffex Says:
May 1, 2012 - And I was just tired of all these illuminati claims. The only way to judge the intentions of ones heart is to observe their actions. Also I'm a little lost on where my doctrine and theological views come into play here.
iTzeXile13 Says:
May 9, 2012 - Tedashii made the song War. Not Lecrae.
Zechariah116 Says:
May 9, 2012 - Lecrae has a broken and contrite heart, he has surrendered his life for the Kingdom of God, this is evident in his music and the effect it has to create disciples of Christ, laid-down lovers for the Lord's kingdom and heart - Judge them by their fruit. This man has good fruit and he has a heart after God's own heart, so don't be so quick to judge on the outward appearance because you may just be speaking against one of God's anointed and a son through Christ, and that is a dangerous thing.
pwnn00bsandblowd00ds Says:
May 26, 2012 - John Piper actually was involved with the work for Don't waste your life and I make War. The songs are based off his work and Lecrae actually does do work with him: "Who He Is"
