Jul 13, 2010 - @Solsabre Not to forget that people on the cross could hang there for days.In Jesus' case the convicted needed to be gone before the Sabbath began.The Romans had a way of speeding up the execution by slamming the knees, so blood would flood out of their body faster.So they did with the two men, but not with Jesus. Jesus "died" faster than normal (could be of the beating/whiping before the crucifiction) but I think He laid His life in the hands of the Father Himself.
