Dec 31, 2010 - I loved Viewtiful Joe which was a newer game that had beat-em-up elements with puzzle solving as well but yeah, it's rare to find beat-em-ups these days.

May 4, 2011 - Without this game kids these days wouldn't have their God of War, Devil May Cry, or Ninja Gaiden Sigmas.

Jul 19, 2011 - The NES version of Target: Renegade was done by Software Creations, makers of such non-classics as Terminator 2 (NES), Silver Surfer (NES), and other games that have ended up on AVGN's chopping block.
Lioyd1rving Says:
Oct 11, 2011 - It's worth tracking down because a crapload of technically superior games don't even do as much as this game does. Out of like a bazillion, only Streets of Rage allows you to attack behind you, for starters. :v
LarryBundyJr Says:
Oct 11, 2011 - Double Dragon lets you attack from behind, that's the only other one I can think of.Possibly Batman Returns on the SNES.

Zepthire Says:
Oct 11, 2010 - Funny how Scott Pilgrim makes references to both River City Ransom and Crash and the Boys.
