It is a wired controller with the two analog thumbsticks for excellent video gaming. It rumbles, vibrates and generally kicks ass all around. The Dual Shock thing originally came out of the Playstation 1 PS1 oh so long ago, then they remade it black and sold it with the PS2 when it was released in 2000. All of the familiar buttons are there inclusing the original L2 and R2 buttons instead of the awful triggers that we got with the PS3 Sixaxis controller. This is a nice accessory to have in your stack of PS2 accessories because without it you can't play any great Playstation 2 games like Grant Theft Auto Vice City, Timesplitters Future Perfect, Red Faction or Gran Turismo 4. This is a unique CGRHD video game review show review of this controller that you won't find anywhere else. Is this the best controller ever made? You'll have to decide for yourself, however Classic Game Room likes it. Damn straight.

Apr 6, 2012 - I have a little problem. My new ps2 Sony made controller I just got is acting sorta weird. Sometimes the buttons dont respond, and I sorta have to press the buttons down a bit harder. Is it just cause it's new and hasnt been pressed yet?

Apr 11, 2012 - well it has to do with what youre generation grew up with. i agree that the ps2 had WAY more , i dont know, ''revolutionary'' games i should say like MGS3, God War 1&2, Red Faction, Killzone, GTA series. Ps3 has is an enjoyable experience with AMAZING sound and graphics and great sequels to ps2 games, but the newer ones seem to lack something that only systems like the ps2 had that i think games should bring back. ps2 is TRULY my favorite from my generation

May 11, 2012 - I've only played an xbox 360 very briefly in a store. I don't have an opinion on it.I guess I was a little harsh on the PS2 d-pad. I mainly find it bad when playing old style arcade games like Fantasy Zone or Golden Axe (Sega Classics Collection). I would prefer a pad that wasn't four separate buttons.

May 11, 2012 - I can tell you from owning PS3,Wii,and 360 The Wii Classic controller probably has the best D-Pad but between the PS360 battle it's PS3 controller that's better. (Except the triggers)

Mar 31, 2012 - @gregoryshoot I have to disagree I was disappointed in the ps3, I've had it for 3 years and I still feel ps2 has a lot more to offer, for me the ps3 just didn't give the excitement like what the ps2 had, yes I have to admit, the graphic are FAR MORE impressive and there's a lot more feature but I guess, I don't know, I was raised with playstation one and two I guess haha but then that's just my opinion.
