He writes songs that have more words than entire albums nowadays. He's a songwriter in every sense of the word. His effect on popular music is nearly incalculable, and he still sells albums, heck, I just finished getting all his albums a couple months ago.

Paul Simon has said that a songwriter will get to a point in his/her life when they run out of melodies. The artists admit it. Why can't their fans? I happen to like Springsteen. I own most of his albums. I like him enough to say, try harder. He knows he doesn't have to because every CD he releases gets 5 stars.
