Added: Feb 6, 2012

In this drum lesson, James Cassells demonstrates several drum parts he played on Reckless & Relentless, the 2011 release from the British metalcore band Asking Alexandria. He covers the closing section from the song "Breathless," the beginning of "Morte Et Dabo," and the intro to "A Lesson Never Learned," then closes the workshop by describing the heel-toe pedaling technique he uses to play some of his more complex bass drum parts.

I'll hopefully be posting some video lessons about double bass on my channel soon. It's a really fun thing to learn and it's just cool as hell to play. Hope this helps.

May 25, 2012 - Because fame = talent, right? Fucking idiot.

mik200257 Says:

May 25, 2012 - Obviously he has some talent, or they wouldn't have made it this far....

EmptySpacesKANG Says:

May 25, 2012 - its all about effort man and timing man. js Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. - Calvin Coolidge

ShittyMcPoopyBalls Says:

May 26, 2012 - This is a great point. But I still don't believe fame equals talent, if kids out there like Bieber are as fame as can be, yet completely talentless, it shows how much it takes to be famous. Let them do what they want, but when they start trying to teach (like this guy), I have a problem with it.

WearyMucusParticles Says:

May 26, 2012 - This guy uses the slide technique to double up on the bass...Along with a double bass pedal! AMAZING!

EmptySpacesKANG Says:

May 26, 2012 - true true, but remember that mainstream music is about image nowadays. whatever sells man. it works but is kinda sad.
