May 25, 2009 - One of the best albums ever. Man these dudes were great. I never understood why they didn't get big in the USA. I chalked it up to Americans sometime wouldn't know good music if it slapped them in the face.

Jun 11, 2010 - This is my favorite song from this album-thanks for posting it! I regret that I had to sell an original British vinyl ed. of their first album-the one with the EP, including "See My Friends."

Jul 8, 2010 - The Smithereens and The Records are two bands that should have been huge. Anyone ever post Teenarama? That was the song that used to get a lot of airplay up here in New England.

Jul 16, 2010 - Love teenarama. Records were my favs in the 70/80 with the yachts, shoes & Bram Tchaivsky! Great catching up with this stuff again!

Oct 16, 2010 - The Smithereens did score a few radio hits in the late 80's/ early 90's. They were a great live act (and all-around nice guys). The Records didn't fare as well, though they should have. And then 90's grunge came along...
crapple009 Says:
Dec 4, 2010 - Awesomely potent stuff here, folks.
blope332 Says:
Dec 16, 2010 - Damn the local radio station execs who deprived the kids of this stuff. Thanks for posting.

Jul 28, 2011 - Dang. Luv this stuff. Alone in my room. The Records blarin' . Great rock. Was hooked on the band since hearing 'Starry Eyes' on the radio for the first time. Thanks for uploading !
BasswipeNC Says:
Sep 6, 2011 - Yep, this album was their peek. There are so many good songs on this album. But of course the song Starry Eyes is what hooked me on this band.

Mar 17, 2012 - Nahhhh..their first album is the one....but I am so happy to even contend that with another fan after all these years..... . Someone needs to post up Affection Rejected and a few others from that first LP. Up All Night is here, thank god, but and the hits, but a couple of the other goodies would be most welcome.....if anyone does this service to humanity..lol...let me know...

Dec 28, 2008 - I saw the songs from this relatively unknown album performed live in '81. I booked The Records to play the Florida Atlantic Univ. Rathskellar through the local promotor, Fantasma productions. This version of the band with guitarist Jude Cole. They performed these songs like clockwork, is my recollection.
