May 17, 2012 - A friend of mine died 15 years ago crushed by a forklift - he took a curve too tight and then flew out of it before it toppled. It was a big thing in our town, friends still talk about it and managers use it as a scare.

May 18, 2012 - Very difficult to do but you have to hold on tight and stay in the forklift till it's stopped. Instinct is to jump clear but you always jump in the direction it's tipping to, the movement of the toppling puts you that way.Seen the aftermath of several accidents and with c/b trucks it's almost always the truck landing on the drivers legs etc.

The real problem is foreign pump-truck operators that break pallets 9 times out of 10 before you've been anywhere near them.Oh that and idiot FLT drivers taking-out end suppots on full racking!
