May 5, 2012 - This song was inspired by the street riots at the DNC in Chicago in 1968 (Orange County Suite). Morrison was an oracle of apocalypse, pointing to our future before we recognized our present..My book about the meaning of Morrison's lyrics is now on Amazon. "Some Are Born to Endless Night: Jim Morrison, Visions of Apocalypse and Transcendence." Death and transcendence to a better life were his recurring themes. He even had an unconscious vision of Los Angeles being destroyed by riots and fire.

May 13, 2012 - This song is prescient. It unconsciously intimates the destruction of the American city, more specifically Los Angeles. You can find the basics in my just finished book: "Some Are Born to Endless Night: Jim Morrison, visions of Apocalypse and Transcendence"Almost five years of effort."Blood in my love in the terrible summer. ...bloody red sun of Phantastic LA....Blood screams the brain as they chop off her fingers....blood will be born in the birth of a nation!!!!"
