Feb 6, 2012 - The music they've created here is similar to the strange sounds that were coming out of Europe around the mid 70's from acts such as Can, Janko Nilović, Philippe Besombes, The Soft Machine and Nucleus. Look up Besombes' trippy track Hache 06 from 1975 to hear a good example. The movie looks crazy; men with top-hats on a moon where umbrellas turn into mushrooms, and one gets chased by horned extraterrestrials, reminds me of Lewis Carroll's Wonderland or some wild Salvia trip.

I see it two ways: it's quite sad they have to rip a popular riff like this to make a tune, knowing they have all the talent necessary to create their own stuff (they've shown it time and time again before, my favourite being Virgin suicides' soundtrack); on the other hand, it's a cool way to pay homage to Papathanassiou, and I think this is a very likely scenario. Anyway I don't find this bad at all but I've liked "Parade" better for example.
