May 20, 2012 - i'll summarise it for you-in the late 1990s, the IRA placed a bomb in a completely civillian area, resulting in the death of civillians only. everyone condemned the attack as an act of terrorism.however, a few delusional people have defended the bomb, and say the IRA wasn't at fault because they warned the police... which is kind of like saying that a rapist isn't to blame if he rapes someone because the police should have stopped him.

May 20, 2012 - this is so saad...by the way, correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't it in 1993 when something similar happened in Northern Ireland killing 2 children?

33LB Says:

May 20, 2012 - no idea. bombs and shootings have happened constantly through history, so it could have happened.

May 20, 2012 - yeah i was right i checked it. actually the cranberries song zombie is about that incident...one last question: is ira still active? do they keep shooting and bombing etc?

33LB Says:

May 20, 2012 - the IRA have officially called an end to their armed campaign. however, small numbers of republicans continue to plant bombs and carry out shootings, usually aimed at police officers. these people are known as "dissident republicans". such attacks are condemned by both unionists and nationalists.

IRememberTheOldDays Says:

May 28, 2012 - The whole of the N.I. conflict was a compete hash up from start till finish on both sides. The people had had enough of having their lives buggered year after year and the authorities were just as sick of it and wanted to go home and have done, but that in no way forgives what happened. I don't hate the Paras, I don't hate the British army. Neither do I hate the Irish/Republic, but the bastards on both sides need to pay. The IRA need to be stopped and those soldiers convicted.
