Apr 28, 2012 - ive just finished an advanced first aid course, and i was told that if you dont know anything about the 30 pumps to 2 breaths ratio, then you should only do the pumps, however if you know how to do it properly then you should do the breaths as well, or have they been bullshiting me?

This ad is aimed at those who are unaware of CPR techniques and/or afraid of giving mouth-to-mouthThere have been complaints/fears made about this film to the UK advertising authority and it has researched and rejected them. The consensus opinion being that if you don't know or are afraid of performing full CPR then trying this is the right course of action

Aparently often the head was not tilted far back enough, meaning air was blown into the stomach causing vomiting and complications. also the very action of the compressions pulls enough air into and out of the lungs to provide adequate oxygen for the body. I personally wouldnt do rescue breaths unless it was a member of my family/ child
