Flooding in the city of Chiang Mai is mainly in the area of Nong Hoi and the night bazaar area all along the river. Also from the train station to the river (about 3 kilometers).

Oct 26, 2011 - I have been living here since 1989 and the only flooding in Chiang Mai was 2005 and 2011. In both cases it lasted only 3 days and only a small area near the river and about knee deep. No injuries, deaths or serious property damage reported.

Jan 24, 2012 - I was in Chiang Mai a couple weeks ago. Flooding is all gone, and things are back to normal. I really enjoy Chiang Mai.(Video Response Submitted)
