Oct 3, 2010 - Britpop was way more catch-all than that, and included punk in the boulliabaise. Even "Modern Life Is Rubbish", the seminal template for what would become Britpop, owed a great deal to punk, more in the threads that went through it than any direct and pure outward expression, but Graham's always channeled that stuff. It really is not 180 degrees away.

Oct 3, 2010 - Your obvious passion for music (and writing) seems to have no use for facts. I would suggest (ever so politely) that you watch the film "No Distance Left To Run". In it, you will learn the Genesis of Britpop from "the players" and hear from the music writers of the time who describe in vivid detail the motives and behind the scenes machinations of the short-lived (anti-American music) movement. Punk music by the way IS American, brought back to England from NYC by Malcom McLaren.

Oct 3, 2010 - Whatevs. If you don't hear that there was more there than Kinks worship, I don't know what to say. Carry on.

beeceesp Says:

Oct 3, 2010 - You must be a riot to hang out with at an art gallery. I was trying to be nice. Watch the film. (You can download it on itunes) Knowing you as I do, I think you will thoroughly enjoy it.

Oct 3, 2010 - I have it, silly. And I wasn't being mean. I'm not sure what "You must be a riot to hang out with at an art gallery" is supposed to mean. I am pretty fun to hang out with at an art gallery. Are you asking me out?

Jun 4, 2011 - He has the guitar of my dreams, even the colour is right, such a weird coincidence.Give it to me please.

Nov 6, 2011 - ...Its fucking great to see Graham do something so different from Blur!! Talented guitar player and writer. Shame Noel gallagher has come out with the same plodding dull shit he has been coming out with for years. Noel had the chance to show his own talent, but couldnt come up with anything different!! Shame... that shows his true talent. ie not much!! I`m very disappointed with Noel Gallagher. Not that good really!

Dec 2, 2011 - why do artists tend to play songs at a faster tempo when they are playing live??

chchchcherrybomb37 Says:

Dec 22, 2011 - this reminds me a bit of the buzzcocks (which of course is a good thing).I love graham so much, jesus his guitar skills...when he does the fast little bit at the end of the chorus (not quite sure what it's called) I really am mind blown! love his solo stuff, but still glad blur are getting back together for the nme's :-)

djpj22 Says:

Jan 2, 2012 - Is that Kurt Cobain on bass...........?

dthe1o Says:

Jan 4, 2012 - that is not a fair statement. noel gallagher's been the only songwriter in oasis. graham coxon went from blur to solo. noel went from noel gallagher's oasis to noel gallagher's high flying birds.

R3M3MB3RxM3 Says:

Jan 5, 2012 - @rhbrhb05 I dont know much of his work. But during this performance he is staring at his guitar the whole time even though it has a really simple chord progression. He should be watching the audience. These guys have poor 'image' especially.

gizzytiersen Says:

Jan 12, 2012 - Its similar. This wouldn't be out of place in the late 70's

Easyandy100 Says:

Jan 12, 2012 - Great stuff though.

bwaybabyrose Says:

Feb 21, 2012 - Graham and his band appear to have a stripey shirt policy
