May 24, 2011 - Interesting concept - I never noticed that & would have to agree the arrangement (esp. the oboe) certainly does imply it. But it's 100% serendipity - the orch, sessions for Lumpy Gravy, from which that snippet comes, were recorded in Jan-Feb 1967 and the Moodies' transition from R&B/Merseybeat to the 'symphonic' sound of "Days of Future Passed' didn't take place until the summer of '67 - that LP was recorded mostly in October and released in November of 67. Nice thought, though.

I've listened to this album a hundred times and it never gets old. There is so much to this album that keeps it interesting every time I hear it.
