Apr 1, 2012 - American soldier gave life for Afghan boy.On March 22, 2012, Weichel, an Army National Guardsman, was riding in a convoy that was just leaving a firing range when he jumped from his vehicle to help clear a group of children out of the way. The children were trying to collect the brass shell casings at the range to sell for scrap metal. When a 10-year-old Afghan boy darted under a vehicle, Weichel climbed under and pushed him to safety. Then the huge vehicle ran over Weichel, killing him.

I hope next time he loses his temper - its YOUR family he kills. So when a US citizen kills ppl in cold blood in the middle of the night and out of their beds its a breakdown but when a young man kilkls ppl in Tullouse - he is a terrorist. maiwandwal Says:
Apr 11, 2012 - Apologies for snapping at you but you are wrong . Just bcoz the media tells u he has PTSD, suddenly it makes it ok? BTW AFGHAN witness in the village are saying this was a coordinated mission by several soldiers. They state that there were 2 helicopters hovering over heard during the whole killing spree, soldiers wearing lights on their helmets - as many as 15 soldiers. The bodies were burnt beyond recognition,in front of their children , some who survived. Think twice b4 u beleive the media
maiwandwal Says:

vjdsjgc Says:
Apr 17, 2012 - I've been there twice, and NOTHING has changed. Our enemy is resilient, yet cowardly. Just like when we first started this fuckimg war. My brothers are still dying over there man. I go back in August. Nothing has changed..
TheAstros5 Says:
Apr 18, 2012 - Bullshit, don't listen to the media; it's all freakin' lies. None of these people really understand why were in Afghanistan.
DeadlyChicken47 Says:
Apr 18, 2012 - I guess they forgot how the two tallest buildings in america were knocked down by two 737 airplanes and the Pentagon was hit with a plane as well or how civilians took control of another plane and crashed it to the ground but I guess were not supposed to help catch the man behind it and wait until it happens again its all about corporate america if they think they won't make money they stop and move to something else.
pakurangaguy Says:

Hughganaught Says:
Apr 30, 2012 - What is our objective in Afghanistain? Why are we fighting a war in the graveyard of empires? What is our stragic interest? National security? If it's unpatriotic to insist our fithting men have a stragic interest to fight for, then I'm unpatrotic..
Hughganaught Says:
Apr 30, 2012 - Yup. the media only reports the death's of moslems. Ignoring the carnage of Christians. It's not relavent to their worldview. Moslems have been killing eachother since way before their prophet raped his child bride.
kozmon0t Says:
May 14, 2012 - More than 2 million US soldiers have been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. A lowball estimate would be for an average of one year total. And about 6500 deaths. That's about a 0.3% death rate per year for deployed soldiers, well below the death rate for the US general population. The biggest lie being told about the war is it's so dangerous to US troops, told to paper over the mass slaughter of the natives. Heavy weapons vs a few skinny guys with cheap rifles is not a fight.
luvblkcookie Says:
May 20, 2012 - Heavy weapons vs a few skinny guys with cheap rifles is not a fight. but a few skinny guys with cheap rifles vs farmers with absolutely no way to protect themselves is not a war at all its murder. so before you going doing your "stats" understand the real muslims in afghanistan are being terrorized and we are killing those terrorist with our "heavy guns"
kozmon0t Says:
May 20, 2012 - That's the do-gooder excuse. All invasions and occupations have a do-gooder excuse. Even the Nazis had do-gooder excuses. Yes, the Taliban are bad, but that's not America's business, even if the other Afghans wanted us there, which they don't. In any case, America's not there to fight the Taliban, but for transit rights. The "stats" were just to point out that the US media vastly overstates the risk to US troops, for various political reasons.
390bullitt1968 Says:
May 21, 2012 - The objective in afghanistan is to spend as much money as possible. The War in Afghanistan has cost EACH and EVERY American taxpayer more than $16,000. The war in Iraq has cost the Average American taxpayer more than $23,000. Taking care of the wounded will cost the Average American taxpayer over $200,000 in the next 25 yrs. Who profits. The War Merchants. Bush and all his friends who HE made rich. They do not think, for one second, about the cost in human terms. They dont give a crap.
