So unfortunate that pearls are being tossed to swine. But hey, if you don't give a fuck about your food or just have too big of an ego to take criticism, then just continue in your ways and have your gross sticky pasta. But you know what's ironic? If you got the gross sticky pasta at a restaurant, you'd be complaining.

Apr 16, 2012 - How does something "smell" sweet or "look" delicious? It has been long known that tasting food involves all the senses and not just the tastebuds. Clog up your nose, and food seems bland. So how is a flavor "shiny?" Given a dish with a dull color and one with a glistening sheen, which would you think is more intense in flavor?

Apr 17, 2012 - shine isn't really an indication of flavor, i have gone to a Korean restaurant and tried baby octopus stir fry, i also had spicy chicken gizzards. the stir fry did look shiny and glistening, while the gizzards had a somewhat dull color. so when i tried them i found that the gizzards had a more intense flavor than the shiny looking baby octopus dish, also one must remember the old phrase, looks can be deceiving.

May 6, 2012 - I'm not just talking about presentation--which may or may not reflect how food tastes. I'm talking in general about visual cues we use to judge the qualities of food. When a shrimp turns from grey to pink, we judge it cooked. So in some instances, visuals do reflect an actual physical quality of food.
