Had Margarito not had "plasters" on his knuckles, he would have been beaten by Cotto. I believe also, that Margarito used plasters in his fight against Kermin Cintron; That explains the brutal beating Cintron took.

Dec 8, 2011 - I agree with you on the plaster of paris . I too firmly believe Marg used it but you cant put all the blame on the loaded wraps . Look at Cotto throughout his whole career , hes not a great punch outputter . He takes his time and breaks you down . Marg forced him where Cotto just wasnt comfertable . Even agaisnt shane mosley , Cotto could take breathes , agaisnt Marg , there was no breathing room . Some part did have to do with Cottos conditioning as well .

Then out of nowhere he knocks out one guy , then two , then three . Next thing you know hes fightin elite fighters like Cintron , Hercules , etc . And knocks them out ! idk about you but since when does a fully grown man get punching power outa the nowhere ?? Margs used it against maybe not all , but a lot of his opponents .

Apr 8, 2012 - Everybody is talking that cottos condition for the first fight wasnt the best u gotta see the fight again,cotto runs out of gas for 2 important reasons margacheato break his nose and mouth with loaded uppers in the 2 round and he was fighting breathing and swalowing blood thru all the fight.of course he was gonna run out of gas

And cotto knew this thats why when he finish the 4round he felt tired and tried to finish marga at 5 round he knew that with out good breathing he couldnt fight the rest 10 rounds. So in the second we see cotto losing just 1 or 2 rounds in 10 rounds there was no chance of margacheato beat cotto in this one.
