Title: Pink Floyd Summer 68

Description:
"Summer '68" is a song by Pink Floyd on their album Atom Heart Mother. Written and sung by Richard Wright, it is about a one night stand, and the return to habitual life. The soft piano intro contrasts with the bombastic trumpet solo breaks in the middle and end of the song, the latter breaks echoing the "Father's Shout" theme from the "Atom Heart Mother" suite. Unlike the classical-inspired "Sysyphus" on Ummagumma, "Summer '68" sees Wright returning to lyrical rather than instrumental song writing.Lyrics :Would you like to say something before you leave Perhaps you'd care to state exactly how you feel We said good-bye before we said hello I hardly even like you, I shouldn't care at all We met just six hours ago, the music was too loud From your bed I gained a day and lost a bloody year And I would like to know How do you feel, how do you feel, how do you feel? Not a single word was said, delights still without fears Occasionally you showed a smile but what was the need I felt the cold far too soon - the wind of '95 My friends are lying in the sun, I wish that I was there Tomorrow brings another town and another girl like you Have you time before you leave to greet another man Just you let me know How do you feel, how do you feel, how do you feel? Good-bye to you Charlotte Kringles too I've had enough for one day

Feb 18, 2012 - Everyone I knew as a child who loved music had a collection of albums; but, all those whom I knew who loved Pink Floyd have this album 'missing' from their collections - except me!?!? Very strange! My own mother bought this album for me for Christmas when I was ten-years-old, as I didn't have it then!?!? Many teens see their parents as geeks; I see mine as people who knew what their children were/are lacking! What a GREAT album! This song will most likely 'always' be a forgotten classic!

Feb 25, 2012 - Lucky you.. you can go on youtube and find a universe of music that it would have taken those of us born 30 years ago to collect. Though I do agree some of those old times were cool, but enjoy the times you have!!! At least everyone has earphones in their own ears if you don't like what they're listening to!
