Nov 21, 2011 - i so wanna build this ASAP i love binary and all things computer binary and hex are what im good at now right now trying to master logic gates and even more complex computer language stuffand also this vid is very true its a calculator a true calculator but y didnt you go for the full 255? couldnt you have added 128 and 64? and opn that note... can you make a logic gate out of wood??? heheh i love your vids and im a loyal subscriber

Nov 21, 2011 - Six was bits was enough to illustrate the concept. There's other problems with adding bits - you will see once you built it.

Nov 21, 2011 - This is glorious.

Nov 22, 2011 - @Matthiaswandel maybe but your right i will see when i do build it...also binary really is fun to do and your an EXCELLANT capenter and engineer your stuff always amazes me

Nov 22, 2011 - alright im bored and this is a binary related vid so...heres a nice little math problem for you :)1111 11111111 11111111 1111what is the total value... in hexadecimal?

Nov 30, 2011 - @larrybud The lowest level of logic in a computer is not addittion. Multibit addition is a circuit that is comprised of several logic gate that handle things like carrier over etc. While addition is one of the simpler circuits, it is still a circuit. The lowest level of logic gates are AND, OR, XOR, NOR, NAND, and NXOR with the least complex being the NOR and Nand and the most complex being the XOR and NXOR.

Jan 1, 2012 - I loved this video. It would be amazing if you managed to make a multiplying or even dividing machine using the same principles. You could solve your little segmentation fault beyond 63 with some memory unit coupled to your machine. Great video!
