Apr 16, 2012 - Yes, sadly. a few months ago I was laptop shopping and that was what I was finding.Very few companies even make backlight keyboards. The few that do usually put them only in their most expensive chassis were the only difference is a pretty case and all the internal components are the exact same. In some cases it will cost you much more then 400 to upgrade to the backlight keyboard.
