He - supposition - has probably listened to the song "I tried love" and the lines "does God ever get it wrong? where has Gary Barlow gone? why is Christmas day so long?" (the only serious lines of that song ..) and he understood Rob's pain. In fact, Gas said to Josie (Rob's assistant) that he wanted to give up the fight between them before another Christmas has gone by. And Rob, questioning Josie about Gary's words, focused on the Christmas detail. In fact, after Josie told him about the content of the call, he asked Josie again if Gary said just those words, 'before another Christmas has gone by'. BTW, Rob didn't find the strength to call him back. But he wrote 'Ghosts' immediately just after that call (January - February 2004). Being honest, yes it has been quite an hard work because you need 2 find the stuff, then you have 2 download it & cut it.. then you have 2 write subtitles 2 help people unable t2understand spoken english & 2 cut off every unuseful inch because you have 2 stay in 15 min. FInally you have to upload it and write the descpription. BTW I do love the guys & I do it just for this reason. I'm very grateful you appreciated & I'll manage to answer your mp tomorrow! x

I think, it summarizes all of their story through a song, through Gaz's song.. from anger, despair and frustration to their hands on garys heart,hugging.. It is the true progress.. It fulfils the chamber somehow. You know, what mark s said about eight letters is also true for this song. and to me, that s why it is a classic. Because it is real. they are real..

In particular when he sang "washed-up" after the line of the lipstick mark..it means it was personal for him..very personal. And he didn't sing "washed off", he sang "washed up", the meaning is slightly different.. and worse. Then things changed..

Jan 19, 2012 - I'm so grateful you took the time 2 leave a comment here..yeah BFG is special, it's a mix of true lines & fake 1s but still you see the truth behind;the heartbreaking part 4 me has always been "I figured out this story, it wasn't good, but in a corner of my mind I celebrated glory, but it was not to be".Since I was a child, before I got it, I always felt it was "weird" & very sad. Why was he obliged 2 celebrate glory just in a corner of his mind,why was it wrong,why was it not to be?

Jan 19, 2012 - I watched all of your videos and I'm loving it all. I admire you for the amount of the effort you put into every single video. I've always loved these two, and your videos make me love them even more. Rob in the past is so hurtful that it makes me flinch, and how oblivioius Gary was to the fact Rob was hurting/suffering... It's such a relief that it's all just the past now and they made up. I love them for that.
