May 22, 2012 - Somehow, playing a round of Zombie Apocalypse while listening to this feels inappropriate. Several of my family members had or have cancer. For me, it's a ugly, wasting disease. Augustus Waters sounds a bit like my aunt. He's one of those amazing people who can decide to be happy. I haven't read the book and I don't know if I could. I'm happy that Hazel has someone like Augustus to help her out of her funk. The world is an awesome place and we need to experience it while we can. Thanks.

May 24, 2012 - Got the book in the mail today and even though I read the chapter like an hour ago, here I am, listening to it once again. Still only on the 4th chapter but gosh darnit, this book is incredible. My favourite quote from this chapter was definitely "I've gotta outlast four of these bastards". Such a wonderful mixture of deep emotion and quirky humor.
